If you fall ill with COVID-19 during your trip or have to go into quarantine because you had contact with a person tested positive for COVID-19, the additional costs will be covered up to a maximum of CHF 750 per person.
If the public transport you use to the airport or departure station on Swiss territory is delayed or cancelled and you are prevented from starting your trip as a result, we will pay the cancellation costs instead of:

cancellation costs are covered in the event of strikes, acts of violence against
persons or property on the occasion of riot or tumult,
or epidemics, as well as if the unreasonableness of the travel beginning due to
terrorism makes the realization of your trip impossible. For the
decision, we rely on the current advice of the FDFA (Federal Department of
Department for Foreign Affairs) at the start of the trip that the trip is not recommended.
