BREAKDOWN SERVICE IN SWITZERLAND AND EUROPE

Insurance coverage is provided if the vehicle can no longer be used due to:


• a breakdown;
• Body damage, by which we mean: the uselessness of the vehicle after a collision;
• fire, natural hazards, glass and animal damage, as well as vandalism and theft or attempted theft;

Insurance coverage is valid in the following countries:
Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Austria, Poland, Portugal (mainland), San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (mainland and Balearic Islands), Romania, Czech Republic, Turkey (European part, the border is defined by the Bosporus), Hungary, Vatican City, Cyprus (Greek part). The Principality of Liechtenstein is treated in the same way as Switzerland. In case of transport by sea, the insurance cover is not interrupted if the places of departure and destination are within this local area of validity.

The breakdown service applies to passenger cars up to 3.5 t, motor homes up to 9 t and motorcycles registered in Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein:

• provided that they are driven by an insured person (member or person in the same household) or are registered in his name;

• provided that the license plate of a company vehicle has been registered under an ACS company membership.
  

The insurance coverage extends to all persons travelling in these vehicles, up to the maximum number provided for in the vehicle registration certificate.
