The Carnet de Passages en Douane is an international, officially recognized customs document for the temporary and duty-free import of vehicles abroad.
The countries concerned waive the deposit of a security in the form of cash at customs and accept the Carnet de Passages instead - this simplifies the entry considerably. This document is mainly required for certain countries in Africa, Asia, South America and Oceania. In Europe, the carnet is mainly used when transporting registered vehicles across the border on a trailer. The Carnet is also useful for motor sport enthusiasts with non-matriculated racing vehicles.
The Carnet de Passages en Douane is issued to one person and one vehicle and is available with 25 insert sheets, each of which allows one-time temporary entry into a country. The maximum validity period for the Carnet de Passages is one year (365 days).
If you are interested in a Carnet de Passages, please fill out the application form and return it signed.
Based on the information about your vehicle and the countries to be visited, the deposit to be paid will be determined.
